The Thanksgiving Burrito

Behold, the thanksgiving burrito!

Yes, you read correctly, thanksgiving burrito. :::Angels singing:::

I decided to do a quick bonus post for the week for those of you who still have leftovers hanging out in your fridge.

Lets be honest here, the best part about thanksgiving is the leftovers. There’s a lot to be thankful for the day of: family, friends, food, shelter, health; but the day after, when you get to wrap up an amalgam of thanksgiving fixings into a tortilla, that is something to be gluttonous for.

I’ve always been a big fan of the thanksgiving sandwich, but now it seems as though you can get it any time of the year at diners and delis. So it has kind of lost some of its intrigue and appeal. And that’s why, this year, it’s all about the thanksgiving burrito.

In all its glory: turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and gravy, all wrapped up into a handheld bundle of joy.

Amber and I brainstormed a few ideas of what to do with turkey day leftovers; there was the thanksgiving muffuletta; the thanksgiving tosta; the thanksgiving pita pocket; but in the end, the burrito won, hands down.

So if you still got some leftovers hanging around in the fridge, here is how to get rid of ‘em: wrap it all up in a tortilla, and thank me later 🙂 Happy Sunday!

  1. Yuuuummmm, I want one right MEOW! What else can we wrap in a tortilla?

  2. Ok, this makes me laugh, but in a REALLY delicious way 🙂 Sooo gonna try this!

  3. I would have never thought of putting the turkey sandwich inside a tortilla and then smothering it in gravy. That’s just brilliant! How was it? Did it taste as good as it looks?

    • Oh yes, it is just as good as it looks, if not better! For me, there is nothing better than a thanksgiving leftovers sandwich, so to be able to make it all wrapped up into a handheld bundle of joy makes it ALL the better
